REMINDER

REMINDER:
2ND Quarter Tax and Sewer payments are due by 4:00 p.m. tomorrow. Any payment received thereafter will be charged interest back to May 1, 2020.
Please note that the Township Administrative WILL NOT open on June 1st. We continue to be available by phone at 856-461-1460 and the drop box at the office can be used for all payments and documents that you need to submit to any Township official.

Township Offices Closed

The Township Administrative Offices will be closed on Monday May 25, 2020 in observance of Memorial Day.  Though we will not hold our annual parade, we remember those the parade honors. 

Tuesday, May 19, 2020

The Township will open the PW yard to the public this Saturday May 23, 2020 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  Residents will be permitted to bring electronics and yard debris into the yard at this time.  The Township reserves the right to reject any items that do not meet the above criteria.

In order to practice proper distancing, we will require that all residents adhere to the following:

1) All residents must bring ID that establishes residency within the Township.
2) All residents must wear a mask (NO EXCEPTIONS)
3) All residents must remain in their vehicles until instructed to exit.
4) We will only take the above-referenced items at this time.  We will not take regular household trash, construction debris nor hazardous materials.

Important Tax Information

The due date for the 2nd Quarter Taxes has been extended to June 1, 2020.  All tax payments are now due by 4:00 p.m. on June 1, 2020.  Any payment received after 4:00 p.m. on June 1, 2020 will be charged interest from May 1, 2020.  Should you have any questions, please email ctc@riversidetwp.org or call 856-461-1460 x1.

Memorial Day Parade Cancellation

Jeff May, Parade Chair, and the Township Committee regret to inform the residents of Riverside that the 2020 Memorial Day Parade has been cancel due to the current pandemic.  Though we will not hold the parade this year, we will continue to honor and remember those who lost their lives in serving our country.  We ask you to join us for a moment of silence at some point during your day on Monday May 25, 2020.  Thank you and stay safe.

Solid Waste Update

Bulk trash collection will resume on May 11, 2020.  As per our normal regulations, you may place one bulk item at the curbside each week for collection.  Please remember that all mattresses must be covered and that we will not take construction debris, recyclable items or hazardous items as part of the solid waste collection.

EVENT ADVISORY: DRIVE-UP FOOD DISTRIBUTION

WHO: Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders is sponsoring an Drive-up Food Distribution Event

PARTNERS: Holman Enterprises, Food Bank of South Jersey & Farmers Against Hunger

WHEN: Friday, May 8, 2020 from 1PM to 3PM

WHERE: TIC Building, 2001 Bishops Gate Blvd., Mt. Laurel, 08054 (must enter from Briggs Road – vehicles cannot enter from Route 38)

DETAILS: “The Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders is dedicated to supporting our residents during this world-wide public health crisis so that they remain safe, have a place to stay, and have enough to eat,” said Burlington County Freeholder Director Felicia Hopson. “This is an uncertain time and many of our community members are struggling to pay for basic necessities. It is our hope that the Drive-up Food Distribution events will help anyone in need.”

* First Come First Served basis. Burlington County Freeholders are currently scheduling additional food distribution dates for May
* Vehicles only – no pedestrian traffic
* Limit one box per family
* Keep windows closed & vehicle occupants must wear masks

Important Tax Notice

As many of you are aware, the Governor issued an Executive Order that allows municipalities to extend the 2nd quarter tax due date to June 1, 2020.  Each municipality, however, must authorize a resolution to do so.  Please be advised that Riverside Township has NOT extended the due date at this time.  The Township Committee will hold a Special Meeting to consider the extension on May 8, 2020.  For further information on the meeting, please visit the Township website at:
