Easter Egg Hunt Rescheduled

The Riverside Easter Egg Hunt will be postponed to April 2nd at 11:30 am.

We are forecasted to get a significant amount of rain on Friday and there are concerns that the fields will remain wet and might be damaged if there is not enough time for them to dry. We wanted to get this notification out as early as possible so families can adjust their plans accordingly.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

The Public Works Department will begin the Spring collection schedule on April 3, 2017 as follows:

Branches:

Branches will be collected Mondays and Fridays April through October.  The Department will canvas the town weekly.  Branches cannot exceed 8' in length and 4" in diameter.  Stumps will be collected for a fee of $30.00 per stump, which must be paid before collection.  Please note it takes two to three weeks to canvas the town.  All branches must be placed at the curbline between the sidewalk and curb by 7:00 a.m. for pick-up.  The truck will remain at one residence for no more than thirty (30) minutes, so please plan your collection accordingly.  You do not need to call ahead to be put on the list.

Grass Clippings:

Curbside collection is available for grass clippings with loose leaves (see above) in April and the 2nd and 4th Wednesday, June through September. Grass clippings cannot and will not be collected with solid waste. Bags must not exceed 30 pounds per bag and should bags contain anything other than grass after June, they will not be collected. Please do not put branches or trash in with grass clippings.

Leaf Collection:

SPRING curbside leaf collection will begin April 10, 2017 and end April 27, 2017.  We will canvas the town on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Please place materials loose at the curbline between the sidewalk and curb for collection.  No materials other than leaves and grass will be collected.

Garage Schedule:

The garage will open the 4th Saturday of every month from 10 am to 2 pm to collect any of the above materials. We will also collect tires for a fee of $10.00 per car tire and $15.00 per truck tire and tree stumps for a fee of $30.00, which must be paid to the Township before drop-off or pick-up. Snow Aftermath

The Public Works Department will continue storm clean-up throughout the day today.  We will be salting intersections and roadways that have iced over.  We are battling the wind and freezing temperatures, but the sun and tires will help activate the salt.  We continue to ask that you do no throw snow into the roadways as you clean off and dig out your cars.  We will also be clearing sidewalks and lots on Municipal property.  If you have a concern about any roadway, intersection or sidewalk, please contact Township Administrator Meghan Jack at 856-461-1460 x4 or mjack@riversidetwp.org.
